Use it to post the mileage markers.
AutoCal is disabled when a CheckMate is run in straight odo mode (No race program
in memory), so don't worry about your wheelsize changing while mileaging a course.
Also, riding at race speed during mileaging will better match the competitor's style dur-
ing the race. This is because a VERY small percentage of distance is not recorded
during very hard braking, since the front wheel may be locked up at the end of each
straightway.

Determine the best speed averages for each section.
Have a fast rider & a slower rider go to the start of each section. Switch a CheckMate
to lap timer mode & zero out the display. Blast thru the section, then record the dis-
tance and the minutes:seconds. Convert to full seconds, divide into the distance, then
divide by 3600. This gives the speed thru that section.

IE: Section = 5.15 miles, mins:secs = 11:07
11 mins x 60 = 660 + 07 = 667 seconds
5.15 ÷ 667 = .00772
.00772 x 3600 = 27.796 MPH

Next reference page 2 of our EnduroBasics sheet to select a speed average that has
the possibles which are closest together. That gives you the greatest number of loca-
tions where you can place checks.

Enter the race info into a CheckMate to check for errors.
Catch any discrepancies before your sheets are printed.

Have a CheckMate, with your race program, at the signup table for program transfer.
Offer this as a free service, or ask the guy to kick in a buck or two for your club. It's
worth the convenience.
